Engagement

From manual process to intelligent systems.

I led the end-to-end product design of multiple enterprise platforms for Sony Pictures Networks India, representing ICD as the design partner for UnifyApps. Working closely with teams across legal, compliance, broadcast operations, content strategy, and corporate governance, I designed products spanning contract management, board governance, broadcast scheduling, and audience intelligence — each solving a different operational challenge.

Product 1

Contract Lifecycle Intelligence

Sony's contracting process was spread across emails, spreadsheets, and offline approvals, making it difficult to track contracts, identify risks, or know when agreements were about to expire. I designed an AI-powered contract platform that brings the entire process into one place — from creating and reviewing contracts to routing them to the right legal team, identifying risks, and checking important clauses. It also makes 2,847 active agreements searchable in plain language. For the General Counsel and CFO, the platform highlights potential delays and renewal risks early, so they can take action before they become problems.

Corporate Secretarial Governance

Preparing board meeting minutes took 2–3 days, while statutory registers were managed in spreadsheets with no clear way to track upcoming deadlines. I designed an AI-powered governance platform that brings the entire meeting process into one place. It generates minutes from live transcripts with speaker names, extracts action items, tracks compliance deadlines under the Companies Act 2013, answers governance questions in plain language, and helps teams create meeting agendas using ready-made resolution templates. What once took hours or days can now be completed in minutes.

Sports Rights Scheduling & Broadcast Planning

Live event scheduling was creating conflicts that were often discovered only after channel assignments had already been shared with production teams. This led to costly last-minute changes. I designed a unified broadcast planning system across TEN 1, TEN 2, TEN 3, TEN 4, TEN 5, TEN SD, Sony LIV, and SET India. It detects scheduling conflicts in real time, recommends the best channel to resolve them, and can generate tournament schedules automatically based on a set of parameters. Teams can also see live slot availability across all channels and track whether each event is being scheduled within its contracted rights window. A CLM-integrated copilot checks every scheduled match against the executed rights agreement, making sure no event goes on air without a valid contract.

Social Intelligence Command

Social listening data, ratings, and talent performance metrics were spread across different vendor platforms and spreadsheets, creating a delay between an audience signal appearing and the team being able to act on it. I designed an AI-powered audience intelligence platform that brings together 2.47 million monthly social mentions from Twitter/X, Instagram, and YouTube with broadcast ratings data. It detects audience spikes, identifies themes and sentiment, and ranks character and talent popularity across 40+ active shows. An AI agent automatically prepares the weekly briefing in Slack, while executives can ask audience-related questions in plain language.

Outcomes

Faster decisions across every function.

Each platform removed the delay between a problem appearing and a decision being made. One measure captures the shift in each. Figures drawn from project documentation — not independently measured.

18 days
Contract cycle time, down from 30–45 days.
4 hrs
To prepare board minutes, down from 2–3 days.
Zero
Scheduling conflicts reaching production.
90 min
Time-to-insight, down from 48 hours.

Reflections

Four platforms, four different problems.

Each platform solved a different business problem, but the same design principles guided the work across all of them. These principles shaped how I approached every major design decision.

Trust comes from visibility.

People are more likely to trust AI when they can understand how it reached a result. Scores, flags, and recommendations should always provide enough context to explain why they appeared.

AI should act before the problem happens.

AI creates the most value when it helps people before they make a decision. Whether it is identifying risk before review or preparing meeting minutes while the meeting is still happening, acting early saves time and reduces manual work.

Configuration is part of the product.

Rules, approvals, required fields, and thresholds directly affect how well AI works. These settings are not just technical details—they are part of the experience and need to be designed carefully.
